Tachyon Driven Solution to Cosmic Coincidence Problem
Here, non-minimally coupled tachyon to gravity is considered as a source of dark energy. It is demonstrated that with expansion of the universe, tachyon dark energy decays to dark matter providing a solution to " cosmic coincidence problem ". Moreover, it is found that the universe undergoes accelerated expansion simultaneously. PACS nos. 98.80 Cq, 95.35.+d.
متن کاملPhysical Vacuum and Cosmic Coincidence Problem
A framework is suggested in which the energy integrals of the Friedmann cosmology are identified as genuine time-independent physical characteristics for both vacuum and non-vacuum forms of cosmic energy. The integrals are found to be numerically coincident within two orders of magnitude. It is assumed that this coincidence reveals a symmetry that relates vacuum to non-vacuum forms of cosmic en...
متن کاملExact Solutions of Brans-Dicke Cosmology and the Cosmic Coincidence Problem
We present some cosmological solutions of Brans-Dicke theory, characterized by a decaying vacuum energy density and by a constant relative matter density. With these features, they shed light on the cosmological constant problems, leading to a presently small vacuum term, and to a constant ratio between the vacuum and matter energy densities. By fixing the only free parameter of our solutions, ...
متن کاملThe Cosmic Coincidence Problem in the Brane World
The so called ‘cosmic coincidence’ problem seems to suggest a coupling between dark energy and dark matter. A possibility could be given by dark matter particles with masses depending exponentially on the scalar field associated to dark energy. If the latter also has an exponential potential, attractor solutions exist with constant ΩDM and ΩDE and negative effective equation of state. Due to th...
متن کاملPhoton Mixing in Domain Walls and the Cosmic Coincidence Problem
A model is presented where there exists another U(1) gauge group which is extremely weakly coupled to that of QED except inside the core of domain walls. It is possible to choose parameters such that standard model photons crossing such a wall are mixed maximally with the ’para-photons’ of the other U(1). We use this model to explain the apparent low luminosity of high redshift supernovae. A po...
